Just like the simple “thank you” I included in the subject line of this email, expressing appreciation is very simple to do, and it is very meaningful.

Effective leaders understand this.  Whether verbal, a handwritten note, or a timely email/text, telling those who report to you that you appreciate them will go a long way toward strengthening your leadership.

Why?  Because we all like to be appreciated and like to know we are contributing!

I encourage you to thank your team members for the work they are doing.  They will appreciate it.  And so will you!
